Hello Team :)

It’s me again (Ricardo from HR) , however, not from Push this time. I am excited to introduce you to our new blog for internal communications!

This new blog will be an interactive way to communicate between us, Head Office and Taqueria Team.

This blog will be used for interesting traits such as Announcing rewards winners (yes, the monthly Zara or H&M gift cards everyone is talking about), Birthdays congratulations, General Communications (New company policies, Staff parties or any other mass message that will be crucial to be aware of).

I will be announcing various new initiatives through this platform, some of these will include programs for career advancement within the company, requesting your feedback, etc!

STAFF MOVIE NIGHT

We will be hosting a Movie Night for ALL TAQUERIAS team members at La Taqueria Brentwood!

Make sure to confirm your assistance to the movie night in the link below before October 26 in order for us to buy snacks accordingly!

We will be accepting movie recommendations through the link below.

You do not need to bring anything, only a comfy outfit and a smile!

STAFF HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST

Spooky season is here and it brings many cool events for the team!

We will be holding a Halloween costume contest in which the FOH teams will be able to bring their best halloween costumes to work in order to win a $75 Gift Card.

The contest for the FOH team will be held on different dates for different Taquerias:

La Taqueria Brentwood - October 28, 2023
La Taqueria Yukon, North Vancouver, Hastings - October 27, 2023

Due to Health & Safety reasons, La Taqueria Food Truck and all the BOH Teams will not be able to bring their costumes to work, however, we encourage you to share a picture of your costumes with us in order to participate in the contest as well!

Make sure that your costume does not deter your normal work daily tasks and also, keep it family friendly!

The contest will be based on the most creative and realistic costume. The gift card winner will be announced in this blog and the winner will be able to choose from which store wants it (it can be any store, any brand, any service, as long as it remains within $75). The Food Truck and BOH teams can send pictures of their costumes to hr@lataqueria.ca. Participating in this contest is not obligatory, however, it is encouraged for those who want to participate for the gift card prize. The winner of the contest will be announced on November 1, 2023.

Promotions

Juan Lievano was promoted from Assistant General Manager to General Manager at La Taqueria Yukon.

Diego Ochoa was promoted from Line Cook to Kitchen Supervisor at La Taqueria Yukon.

Jorge Trechuelo was promoted from Expo to Shift Leader at La Taqueria Yukon.

Alvaro Leiva was promoted from Line Cook to Kitchen Supervisor at La Taqueria Hastings.
